The GWEP-CC Pre-conference is held exclusively for the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) grantees. This interactive preconference will focus on peer learning through a virtual marketplace, where GWEPs will have the opportunity to learn from each other’s programs. The pre-conference will also feature a presentation on gaining Age-Friendly leadership buy-in. Learning Objectives: (1) describe innovative strategies implemented by GWEP programs to enhance geriatric workforce training and improve care for older adults; (2) identify practical approaches for gaining leadership engagement and organizational buy-in for implementing Age-Friendly health system initiatives; and (3) apply peer-shared lessons and program examples from GWEP grantees to strengthen geriatric education, workforce development, and age-friendly practices within their own institutions.
